The Settlement at Ashley Hall
Settlement at Ashley Hall is a new construction neighborhood situated on the historic landsite of Ashley Hall Plantation. A Southern Living inspired development, this charming community is idyllically situated along the Ashley River and surrounded by majestic oaks, tall pines, and tropical palm trees. The custom estates, which were designed by Allison Ramsey Architects of Beaufort, South Carolina, are offered in 24 different models that range in size from three to five bedrooms with 2,795 to more than 5,000 square feet of indoor living space. Constructed by New Leaf Builders of John’s Island, the homes feature expansive porches, private lawns, wood floors, gourmet kitchens, split bedroom floor plans, and quintessential lowcountry style architecture. Some of the available lots boast breathtaking waterfront views and showcase private, deepwater docks that accommodate 30-foot boats. The water is only 7.3 miles to the Charleston Harbour.
Founded in 1676 by Stephen Bull, an English diplomat who was well known for his relationships with the Etiwan Native American tribe, Ashley Hall Plantation is a notable historical landmark in Charleston, SC. The estate belonged to the Bull family for nearly 200 years before it was foreclosed and sold to another entity. Today, the land surrounding the main estate is an established, iconic West Ashley neighborhood. Residents of The Settlement enjoy biking through the preserve areas, crabbing in the tidal marshes, frequenting nearby restaurants, exploring downtown Charleston, and attending Charleston Riverdog baseball games. Children residing in this community are pleased to attend Charleston’s top rated school system. Alternatively, private school options, including Ashley Hall School, Charleston Day School, and Porter Gaud, are a short distance away. The Settlement will complement the plantation’s historic past with its traditional architecture and nature-driven amenities.
